The saddest thing in life...

It's so sad to see death affect a child for the first time. Watching my seven year old cousin cry during the funeral of her pop-pop was one of the most touching things I have ever seen in my life. She saw her mom cry, probably for the first time, and promised that she would take care of her. She talked about how pop-pop will be with them all the time now. It was so sweet to hear her speak so highly of such a great man. Rest in peace Uncle Bill. We love and miss you. Take care of Joe for us. xoxo.

What is it that makes friends so vital in our lives?


I think that friends are so important because of their undeniable ability to brighten a terrible day, the way that they can make you smile, no matter what.  I love how friends will always be there for you.  I just saw some of my very, very close friends of mine tonight and it occurred to me how much they mean in my life. These are the people that I am closest with, yet I never get to see them.  Seeing them today completely made my week, and quite possibly my month, and I am so grateful for them.  Thanks to all of the people who help me keep my sanity (for the most part).  Love you!

Getting to Know Me!

        Hey there!  My name is Maggie and I live for reading on the beach, dancing in the rain, and giving every moment my all. I love the way a book can take you to a new world, and the way you can you can totally lose yourself in the story. The best of all, though, is writing.  I love to express myself through short stories and narratives.  I like to read inspirational quotes from amazing writers and lines from songs that can just grab you and describe your life totally.

        I live in New Jersey and have a hard time imagining ever leaving.  I like how it is somehow right in between rural and the city.  Some days I dream of moving to LA, but then I think of how much I'd miss the snow.   And then I think of moving to a farm in New England, but then I think of being stuck in the middle of nothingness. 

        Obviously, I'm still not sure what I am going to do with my life, but I do know that I love many, many things, so I know that I will have lots of options.  I think that life is full of experiences that I want to remember forever because they make me who I am.  I want to experience as much as I can in my life, so maybe I’ll just do it all!

        My favorite thing to do is to Irish dance.  I've been dancing since I was seven.  It has been a passion of mine and I don't ever want to stop.  Within the past few years I have begun All Star Cheerleading, and trust me, it is not anything close to what my impression of cheerleading used to be.  What we do out there takes a ton of work and strength, and people should really give cheerleaders more of a chance before they judge them.
