"The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment, then where is it to be found?"
"The water's high, you're jumping into it and letting go, and no one knows, that you cry, but you don't tell anyone, that you might not be the golden one, and you're tied together with a smile but you're coming undone."
Sometimes I don't really think about it, but when I am with them all I realize how lucky I am to have my big Irish family. Many people couldn't even name a second cousin, but for me it seems that I could go on all day listing family members. I take for granted how close my family is and what a strong bond we have. I know that any one of my cousins or aunts or uncles would be there for me any time that I ask them to be. I am so lucky to be that girl who has the family with the history and the heritage. I love all of those late nights listening to my aunts talking about their fathers' stories from growing up in Ireland. I know that not everyone gets the opportunity to hear the stories from the pasts of their grandparents living in a world completely different from the one that we live in here and now. I just wanted to share how proud I am to be Irish, and I will never forget how lucky I am to have inherited this wonderful heritage.
"Summer romances begin for all kinds of reasons, but when all is said and done, they have one thing in common. They are shooting stars, a spectacular moment of light in the heavens, fleeting glimpse of eternity, and in a flash they're gone."
